The official trailer for ‘Lust Stories 2’ is out now and it looks funny and pretty engaging. ‘Lust Stories 2’ is the sequel to the 2018 anthology film ‘Lust Stories’ that had four stories directed by four stalwarts of the industry: Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee, and Karan Johar. The sequel too will have four different Stories, directed by filmmakers R. Balki, Konkona Sen Sharma, Amit Ravindernath Sharma and Sujoy Ghosh. The film will premiere on Netflix on the 29th of June.
‘Lust Stories’ was appreciated by audiences and critics for its unconventional and creative approach of portraying women and sexuality. It was a funny drama with actors like Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, Radhika Apte,Bhumi Pednekar, Manisha Koirala, Akash Thosar and Neha Dhupia.
The trailer of the sequel too looks funny as hell and there will obviously be a very good amount of ‘lust’ in the movie. R. Balki’s story will feature Mrunal Thakur and Angad Bedi with a quite modern and witty grandma played by Neena Gupta. The new Bollywood love-birds, Vijay Verma and Tamannah Bhatia will be seen in the part directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Konkona Sen Sharma’s story will feature Tillotama Shome and Amruta Subhash. Kumud Mishra and Kajol will play husband and wife in the story directed by Amit Sharma, the director of Badhaai Ho.
Nothing much about the plot is revealed in the trailer but the movie looks promising. But there is a doubt whether it will be able to recreate the magic of the first film. Neena Gupta’s chill grandma and Kajol’s one more OTT appearance are things to wait for. The series will premiere on the platform on the 29th of June.
