A short while back, Prakash Raj, who lost the MAA presidential elections called for a press meet. In the media meet, Prakash Raj announced that all 11 of his panelists, who won in the MAA elections are resigning their posts effective immediately. Adding further, Prakash Raj alleged that Mohan Babu tried to beat one of his panelists Banerjee at the polling spot. Banerjee elaborated on the same and seemed visibly upset as he spoke at length about Mohan Babu‘s atrocities that day.
“At the polling location, I noticed that Mohan Babu was abusing one of my fellow panelists, Tanish. I then tried to pacify the situation. But Mohan Babu reacted in a violent manner. In fact, he came to beat me in front of everyone. He didn’t stop there. He went on to call me names and made highly offensive personal remarks, abusing me and my family members. I pampered Mohan Babu’s children Vishnu and Lakshmi when they were kids. After all that I have done to his family, the other day, he abused me and my family members as I stood there in a state of shock, unable to take the humiliation I was being subject to by Mohan babu. After this soul-wrenching incident, I don’t see any reason to continue in MAA,” Banerjee said.
Another one of Prakash Raj‘s panelists, Tanish made identical comments “Mohan Babu’s sons Manoj, and Vishnu are like brothers to me. I too am fond of them. But the way Mohan Babu abused me and also my mother left me devastated,” he said.
Well, it appears to be that there was a fair bit of high drama involving Mohan Babu and Prakash Raj’s panelists that wasn’t caught in the cameras on the MAA elections day. The sad state of affairs pertaining to MAA elections is shedding bad light on the Telugu cinema industry, as a whole.
