Talking about the history of “You,” it’s been a hit-and-miss run for the franchise. The show brings a different spice to OTT and has been building a cult-like fanbase for the past four seasons. Now, as “You” bids the fans goodbye with a parting season, there are new additions to the cast.
Madeline Brewer will be the fresh face of the fifth and final season of “You.”
The star of “Orange Is The New Black” and “The Handmaid’s Tale” will be playing an important role in the upcoming season, as informed by Netflix.
Talking about her role, Brewer embodies Bronte, a mysterious and unconventional playwright joining Joe Goldberg’s bookstore. Their bond over literature and sorrow awakens Joe’s longing for his past self, prompting him to reassess his current existence.
The psychological thriller has gained some major traction along the way, and as the last season approaches, the makers are definitely going big or going home.
Badgley and Ritchie will also make a comeback, quite a necessary one, as the makers promised that Joe’s past will come back to haunt him in Season 5.
Talking about how the show will be ending, Peter Friedlander, Vice President of Scripted Series, Netflix, US and Canada, stated, “We’re excited — and a bit terrified — to see how it all ends for Joe Goldberg, but one thing is for sure: You are in for an unforgettable ending.”
Now, we just wait to see if they will give Joe a bitter or a sweet overall ending, or will it all crumble?
