As per the latest data ‘Maharaja’ has become the most viewed Indian film on Netflix in 2024. The data unveiled is for the first six weeks since the film’s debut on Netflix.
With 18.6 million views, ‘Maharaja’ has surpassed other popular releases of 2024 and that includes ‘Crew’ (17.9 million), ‘Laapataa Ladies’ (17.1 million), ‘Shaitaan’ (14.8 million), ‘Fighter’ (14 million), ‘Animal’ (13.6 million), and ‘Dunki’ (10.8 million).
‘Maharaja’ is a really well made story of a common man who is a little unusual but is ready to go to any limit when his family is wronged. The killing spree he goes on will get on your nerves but it’s the film’s ending that shocks the viewers the most.
Whether it’s the writing and direction by Nithilan Swaminathan, editing by Philomin Raj or Vijay Sethupati’s incredible performance, ‘Maharaja’ proves to be top notch in every department.
The film was a major success in theatres and has continued the same on OTT as expected. And why not, when the story is that good, it’s execution is great, there’s no unnecessary mass factor added to it and it still goes on to grab your attention from start to end, this outcome was much expected.
