The official trailer for Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Maharaja’ is out now. It is the actor’s 50th movie and fans are all excited for it.
There is one big surprise for fans in the movie. Anurag Kashyap plays one major role in the movie and most probably it will be the role of the antagonist. Apart from Sethupathi and Kashyap, the movie also stars Sudhan Sundaram, Natty, Bharathiraja, Abhirami, Mamta Mohandas etc.
The trailer looks quite interesting. Vijay Sethupathi plays a regular and simple salon-keeper named Maharaja who comes to the police station to complain that ‘Lakshmi’ has been stolen from the shop. The police ask Sethupathi whether it is an idol of Lakshmi (the goddess of wealth) or actual money, Maharaja denies both. When they ask him if it is his sister, mother or wife, he denies again. The police become suspicious of him and do not believe him anymore. Maharaja plans his one revenge and braces up for a bloody fight. The trailer is well cut and the music is upbeat. It looks like we are going to have another top-notch crime drama from Makkal Selvan.
The movie is written and directed by Nithilan Saminathan and produced under the banner of Passion Studios and The Route. The music of the movie is composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath and the cinematography is handled by Dinesh Purushothaman. The release date for the movie has not been revealed now but hopefully there will soon be an announcement.
