Today, 9th August 2021, is the 46th birthday of the Telugu action megastar, Mahesh Babu. In his honour, there will be an Indian Twitter Space that will start at 7 pm today, under hashtag #SSMBdaySpace. This Twitter Space is expected to break the most attended Twitter Space in India record, which was previously held by the Twitter Space, #CelebrateThalapathyWithRoute, a space created to honour Thalapathy Vijay on his birthday, last month.
Thalapathy’s Twitter Space Session took place on June 21 and it was organized by The Route and hosted by TV host and actress, Dhivyadharshini. A session that started with 15,000 listeners ended up with over 27.5k attendees at its peak – making it the most attended Indian Twitter Space and the second-highest attended Twitter Space, at the time. And these many listeners attended without the Tamil actor even coming on during the session.
With Mahesh Babu’s popularity being just as strong among the Telugu film watchers compared to Thalapathy’s popularity among the Tamil populace (possibly even more so), we expect this upcoming session to beat the 27.5k number soundly. Similar to Talapathy’s session which had many celebrities such as Keerthy Suresh, Malavika Mohanan, Anirudh, Nelson Dilipkumar, and Lokesh Kanagaraj come on during the live session and talk about their experiences with the megastar actor, the Telugu megastar has a crazy list of celebrities attending his birthday bash session as well. These celebrities include Srinu Vaitla, Vamshi Paidipally, Anilra Vipudi, Parasiram Petla, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Gopichand Malineni, Bobby, Meher Ramesh, Allari Naresh, Adivisesh, Mythri Producers, 14 Reels Plus Producers, Anil Sunkara, Sudheer Babu, Naga Vamsi, Devisri Prasad, Thaman S, Gopi Mohan, Kona Venkat and Brahmaji. With such a list, we expect a lot more listens to tune in to hear about their favourite actor.
Both Thalapathy Vijay and Mahesh Babu are well known among other South Indian film watchers (not just their own) and have die-hard fans all over the country. Both actors have immense respect for each other with Vijay being a part of two Telugu-to-Tamil remakes (‘Ghilli’ and ‘Pokiri’) simply because he knew that he could trust Mahesh Babu’s script selection.
