Mahesh Bhatt's Debut Web Series Goes on Floors, Features an Intriguing Star Cast! It is common knowledge that Mahesh Bhatt is venturing into the web domain with a web series produced under his production banner, Vishesh Films. We also have an inkling of what the premise is about — a story set in seventies Bollywood, about a struggling film director’s affair with a leading Bollywood actress of those times. Lastly, it is also speculated that the story of the series is based on the story of Bhatt’s own life. Or rather, a certain time in his life.

Today, the web series has finally gone on the floors. Mahesh Bhatt took to Twitter to announce the news. The consummate filmmaker’s tweet also served to reveal the final star cast of the series. And must we say, it is quite intriguing.

South actress Amala Paul is poised to play the Bollywood actress in the series, as reported in the media earlier. Tahir Raj Bhasin (Chhichhore, Mardaani) will play the male lead. Amrita Puri will also play a prominent role in the series. Pushpdeep Bhardwaj, of 2018 romantic drama Jalebi fame, will direct the series.

The show will be produced by Bhatt in conjunction with Jio Studios. Neither the name of the series nor the slated streaming platform has been disclosed, as of now.
