Today’s the big day! Eid has been a great day for Bollywood films anyway and two huge stars with their big-budget films have clashed against each other on the big screens. We are talking about Maidaan and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Let’s leave aside the latter and focus on Maidaan.
“Maidaan,” the latest movie about a real-life football legend, is finally out in theaters. Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, the film is getting positive responses.
It’s about Syed Abdul Rahim, a coach who totally changed Indian football back in the day. The movie covers the years from 1952 to 1962, showing how Rahim’s ideas and leadership made the Indian Football Team grow like nothing else. They were even called the “Brazil of Asia” because they played so well.
Rahim faced a lot of challenges, but he and his team kept going strong. They won gold medals at the Asian Games in 1951 and 1962 two names just two of his achievements.
More than football, the movie also talks about the personal journey of Rahim just like any typical biopic.
But, it is about the theatrical release. What about the OTT release?
Most Ajay Devgn films have a deal with one OTT platform and i.e. Amazon Prime Video. The movie will be streaming on the same platform after 8 weeks or more. Keep following Binged as we will let you know of all these updates.
