Kareena Kapoor, Tabu and Kriti Sanon recently starred in the funny heist movie ‘Crew’. It drew some controversies as well but the movie was a success at the box office. Now the makers are thinking of making a sequel to the movie. Crew tells the comic story of three hard working air hostesses and how they get stuck in a tricky situation when they try to break out from their destinies and do something that they are not meant to do.
The movie is directed by Rajesh A. Krishnan who previously directed the 2020 dark comedy ‘Lootcase’ and gathered much appreciation. The writing is done by Nidhi Mehra and Mehul Suri. The duo has previously written ‘Veere Di Wedding.
Ektaa Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor’s production team has produced multiple female led movies like ‘Veere Di Wedding’, ‘Aisha’ and ‘Khubsoorat’. In a recent interview, the producers have expressed their wish and the possibility of a sequel to Crew.
Rhea Kapoor has said in the interview that she is usually scared of sequels. It might come along with a lot of hatred. She added, “It this is the first film where I finished the film and a week later, my writers have messaged me and told me that they have an idea for the sequel. I actually think that this film could make a really fun sequel because the end is open ended.”
Sequels for comedies usually work at the box office more than any other genres. After seeing the success of Crew, one must say there are high chances of success for its part two as well. As far now, Balaji Entertainment is all set to release the sequel to LSD: Love Sex Aur Dhokaa, one of the most terrifying tales of our times.
