The Malayalam movie ‘Pookkaalam‘ is going to have its digital premiere soon. It will be releasing on the 19th of May on Disney+Hotstar.
Pookkalam is written and directed by Gamesh Raj. The film stars wonderful actors like Vijayaraghavan, K. P. A. C. Leela, Basil Joseph, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Suhasini Maniratnam and Roshan Mathew. The film tells the story of Ittoop and Kochuthresiamma and the people surrounding them and how they confront various problems in the family.
Ganesh Raj’s debut movie was named ‘Anandam’ and it was a success too. Anandam told the story of a few college friends going on a trip together and with Pookkaalam, Ganesh is exploring the relationship of the older couples. The movie is 137 minutes long and it shows how with a old letter which is discovered can being so many thing back to the life of people.
The movie had its theatrical release on the 8th of April and gained pretty positive responses. The music is composed by Sachin Warrier and the cinematography is handled by Anend C Chandran.
Pookkaalam is a comedy about two elderly married people who have spent their life together happily for so long, but at the engagement of their granddaughter something strange happens and they all have to rethink their journey together.
