‘Ayalvaashi‘ will premiere on OTT on 19th May, on streaming giant, Netflix. The OTT release date of ‘Ayalvaashi’ comes exactly four weeks after its theatrical release, in keeping with the mandatory four-weeks exclusive theatrical window norm in the South film industries.
‘Ayalvaashi’ centres on two neighbours, who’ve been best friends, until the day a small misunderstanding leads them to become sworn enemies. Scratches on the scooter of Benny (Binu Pappu) leads him to suspect that his neighbor and friend Thajudeen (Soubin Shahir) has caused the scratches, due to which Benny’s deal to sell the scooter falls through. An innocent Thaju sets about finding the real culprit behind the scratches.
The film depicts how we humans jump to conclusions – often the wrong ones – and spoil relationships with loved ones due to our tendency of making mountains out of molehills.
The official synopsis of ‘Ayalvaashi’ reads – “A petty misunderstanding changes Thajudheen and Benny’s relationship from friends to foes. Thajudheen goes above and beyond to prove his innocence, but ends up making things worse for his loved ones”.
‘Ayalvaashi’ is helmed by debutant director, Irshad Parari. The film stars Soubin Shahir, Binu Pappu, Nikhila Vimal, Lijomol Jose, and Naslen, among others, in pivotal roles.
