Here is some news for the fans of Malayalam cinema. The romantic comedy ‘Sulaikha Manzil’ is going to stream on OTT soon. It will premiere on the 30th of May on Disney+Hotstar.
The film is written and directed by Ashraf Hamza and produced under the banner of Chembosky Motion Pictures. The film stars actors like Lukman Avaran, Anarkali Marikar, Chemban Vinod Jose, Ganapathi S. Poduval, Mamukkoya and others.
Sulaikha Manzil tells the story of Haala and Ameen whose marriage is decided in a very short time and there is not much time to prepare for the rituals. There starts a tension between the two families due to this haste. The elder brother of Haala, who has a strained relationship with her, arranges her marriage with Ameen. Haala is heartbroken from a long time and she agrees but does not allow meetings that will help the two get to know each other. This disappoints Ameen and the story goes on.
The music of the film is given by Vishnu Vijay and the cinematography is handled by Kannan Patteri. It has some pretty good songs there. The film got its theatrical release on the 21st of April this year. Ashraf Hamza made his directorial debut with the much appreciated film Thamasha and it was followed by another hit movie Bheemante Vazhi. Sulaikha Manzil got mixed reviews and it was not as successful as the other ones but it is definitely worth a watch. The romantic comedies of Malayalam are known for their exceptional feel good quality. Watch the film on the 30th of June on Disney+Hotstar.
