Back in February of this year, fans and viewers were excited for the release of Biju Menon starrer, Thundu as it promised for a hearty and refreshing time pass, as Biju Menon is known for with his excellent roles. The movie hit the big screens on February 16th, and initially received decent to mixed responses and performed correspondingly at the box office too.
Produced by Ashiq Usman with support from Jimshi Khalid, Thundu boasts a talented ensemble cast of Shine Tom Chacko, Rafi, Unnimaya Prasad, Shaju Sreedhar and Noushad Ali. The story follows the endeavours of a determined cop, who Biju Menon plays as he seeks to advance his career by undertaking an examination to be an appointed Head Constable. Driven by financial worries and a need to be respected in society, the movie follows the various roadblocks he encounters in doing so, and also explores the moral and ethical dilemmas that come about.
Now accessible on Netflix, Thundu is being met with mixed responses as people find the third act of the movie flat, and its writing not the most exciting, but they also praise the initial stages of the movie and the humble performances by the cast. Head over to Netflix to see for yourself how the movie pans out, in your eyes!
