Malayalam movie ‘Kochaal’ is all set to have its digital premiere on Zee5. It Is directed by Shyam Mohan and was produced under the banner of Sierra Talkies. The movie has a cast of actors like S. V Krishna Shankar, Shine Tom Chacko, Murali Gopy, Indrans, Renji Panicker and many more. Shyam Mohan is a well known actor, nusic director and filmmaker who has worked in films like ‘Heaven’, ‘Thandagan’ etc. The story of the film is written by well known writers of the industry, Midhun and Prajit. It released on 10th June this year and it will now be premiered on November 27th.
Kochaal tells the story of a very short man named Sreekuttan who is mocked and jeered at by all his townsfolk. They call him ‘Kochaal’ due to his short stature. Sreekuttan aspires to become a police officer and finally, fed up of the jokes, he decides to prove his ability in uniform. He gets to be a police constable only when his father dies and he has the opportunity to prove his ability too after long. There is comedy in the film, there is drama and there is thrill. And it is good for a family watch in the weekend.
Krisna Shankar has earned a decent fanbase with his films like ‘Premam’, ‘Mariyam Vannu Vilakkoothi’ but Kochaal did not have a great positive reaction from the audience. Kochaal is definitely not a masterpiece but it is good movie for a one time watch.
