Leading ticketing platform BookMyShow’s streaming arm ‘BookMyShow Stream’ has some exciting films slated to release on the platform in October second half. The list includes Clint Eastwood’s ‘Cry Macho’ and Sylvester Stallone starrer ‘Escape Plan 3’ amongst other films. You can buy or rent and pay to watch these movies through the BookMyShow app or its portal. Here is the list of films spanning multiple genres that will start streaming on BookMyShow Stream from 15th October to 31st October.
Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway (Streaming Date: 17th October)
It’s the sequel to the 2018 animated film ‘Peter Rabbit’ and is based on Beatrix Potter’s fictional character of the same name. The film follows the adventures of the titular character Peter Rabbit and how his life takes an interesting turn when he travels from his garden to a big, new city.
Justice League: Injustice (Streaming Date: 20th October)
Another animated film on this list and set in an alternate Earth, DC comics-based film ‘Injustice’ narrates the story of how the man of steel aka Superman is deceived by popular the DC villain to kill his love interest, Lois Lane. Thereafter, the superhero goes on a rampage to control Earth and it is up to Batman and his team to stop Superman from further destruction.
Malignant (Streaming Date: 22nd October)
Malignant is James Wan’s next directorial effort in the horror genre after the immensely popular Conjuring and Insidious films. The story follows a woman who is troubled with disturbing visions of unknown people getting murdered. Are these just bad dreams or the killings are happening in reality?
Words on Bathroom Walls (Streaming Date: 22nd October)
The romantic drama is based on a novel of the same name by Julia Walton. The premise revolves around a high-school student and aspiring chef who is diagnosed with a mental illness and how his interaction with an intelligent classmate and his romantic interest changes his perspective.
Flight (Streaming Date: 22nd October)
It’s a Hindi language film that follows the story of the affluent and charismatic Ranveer Malhotra, who boards a plane and then wakes up to find that the plane’s crew is missing, and the pilot is not responding. How he saves himself from an impossible situation ostensibly forms the rest of the plot.
1980 (Streaming Date: 22nd October)
As the title suggests, this Kannada language film is set in the 1980s period. The protagonist is a journalist named Priya, who relocates to the town of Appshethalli and learns that she might be the next target of the recent spate of missing person cases in the town.
Shorta (Streaming Date: 22nd October)
It’s a Danish film that follows two police officers who find themselves trapped in a labyrinth of buildings located in a ghetto. The cops must find a way out to save their lives from the angry and violent residents of the ghetto who are furious after the death of a man in police custody.
Cry Macho (Streaming Date: 28th October)
The film, set in the year 1979, follows a faded rodeo star and washed-up horse breeder Mike Milo (Clint Eastwood), who is given a job by his ex-boss to bring back his young son (Eduardo Minett) from Mexico to Texas, US. The unlikely duo develops an unexpected friendship during their eventful journey.
Night Drive (Streaming Date: 29th October)
The life of a Los Angeles-based driver, who is already going through a rough phase, takes an adventurous turn when a mysterious passenger comes up with a too-good-to-be-true business proposition. However, things do not go as expected. Has he got what it takes to survive the night?
Escape Plan 3: The Extractors (Streaming Date: 29th October)
This is the third and final film of the ‘Escape Plan’ film series. While the 2013 parent film featured Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger, the threequel stars Dave Bautista alongside Stallone. Stallone reprises his role as a security expert who is assigned the task of rescuing the kidnapped daughter of a Hong Kong tech tycoon from a massive prison compound.
Queen of Spades (Streaming Date: 29th October)
It’s a horror film about the titular evil entity who is summoned through an ancient ritual by four teenagers while playing a casual prank. Now they must save themselves from the wrath of the ominous entity and save their souls from being taken.
