Veteran Malayalam star Mammootty took to social media today to announce his upcoming film’s title and launch its first look poster. Titled as ‘Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse’, the film is helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon.
In the first look poster, Mammootty is wearing a hotel bathrobe and slippers on his feet and holds a ladies leather wallet in his hands. In the background is a messy room with a black ladies purse lying on the floor and there’s also a carrom board turned into a pin up board on the wall with photo of a man in the center and photos of women in the four corners. There are also multiple post it notes stuck to the board. Everything suggesting a mystery trying to be solved. There’s also a cat in the poster which is most possibly Mammootty’s pet.
The whole poster suggests a mysterious case has come up and Mammootty, whose character is so engrossed in trying to connect the dots and solve it that he doesn’t care much for hygiene. Also, his character seems to be inspired by various international detectives like James Bond, given the various posters on the wall.
‘Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse’ is a Gautham Vasudev Menon film who is known for his works like ‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein’, ‘Putham Pudhu Kalai’, and many more. The film’s story is written by Dr. Neeraj Rajan and Dr. Sooraj Rajan.
Vishnu R Dev is handling the cinematography for ‘Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse’ with editing by Anthony. Darbuka Siva has composed music for the film. Rest of the cast remains to be announced.
Other than ‘Dominic And The Ladies’ Purse’, Mammootty’s other upcoming project includes Deeno Dennis’ ‘Bazooka’. As for Menon, his next venture is ‘Dhruva Natchathiram: Chapter One – Yuddha Kaandam’.
