Mammooty has given some wonderful back to back hits now and his fans are still mesmerized with the performance he gave in ‘Bramayugam’. His 2024 Telugu movie ‘Yatra 2’ is now streaming on OTT now. The movie released on the 8th of February and is the direct sequel to the 2019 movie Yatra. Yatra told the story of Andhra Pradesh chief minister Rajasekhara’s rise to power from a business background and his growth as a leader. The sequel is about his son and Mammootty reprises his role as Rajasekhara in the movie.
The movie is written and directed by Mahi V. Raghav and it runs for two hours and ten minutes. Yatra 2 is about chief minister YS Jagan and his political struggle after his father Rajashekara Reddy’s demise.
The movie stars Jiiva, Ketaki Narayan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Suzanne Bernert, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Sachin Khedekar and George Maryan. Mammootty plays the role of Rajasekhara Reddy and Jiiva plays YS Jagan. The music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan and the cinematography is handled by R. Madhi.
If you are a fan of political thrillers, you might like this one very much. Mammootty is mind blowing as always, Jiiva’s performance is convincing as well. Yatra 2 has been rated quite well by critics and audiences and you will not regret watching it. The movie is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
