Manju Warrier’s new Malayalam movie ‘Footage’ gets a release date. It will hit the theaters on the 2nd of August this year. From the poster it looks like the movie is going to be a thriller.
The movie is directed by director Saiju Sreedharan and stars other actors like Vishak Nair and Gayathri Ashok. ‘Footage’ is claimed by some to be the first found-footage movie in Malayalam. Malayalam thrillers have won the hearts of audiences all over India and now when the industry is introducing us to a found footage thriller, fans are excited.
The first poster was released long ago and it featured Gayathri and Vishak in quite an erotic position. The plot, as it seems, is about a young inquisitive couple making some explicit videos and then something goes wrong. There is a possibility that Manju Warrier will play the older version of Gayathri, or maybe the mother.
Saiju Sreedharan has worked as an editor in wonderful movies like ‘Kumbalangi Nights’, ‘Maheshinte Prathikaram’ and more. Now we will get to see what he can offer in his directorial venture. The Malayalam industry has offered wonderful thrillers for the audiences, and hopefully ‘Footage’ will be another one.
The movie is about to release in theaters on the 2nd day of August.
