Tamil actress, Varsha Bollamma who is a familiar face to Tamil and Malayalam audience is trying to extend her portfolio with other language films of the South. The actress already acted in two Telugu films. Her first film, Choosi Choodangane opposite a newcomer Shiva Kandukuri failed to impress the audience in the theaters.
She acted in a little role in Sharwanand and Samantha’s Jaanu, the official remake of Tamil Blockbuster, 96. Both the films failed to get her the much-needed recognition in Telugu films. She is looking forward to Middle-Class Melodies which will release on Amazon Prime Video on the 20th of this month.
Her maiden Kannada film is Manne Number 13, a horror-thriller film. The movie is also releasing on Amazon Prime Video on 19th November, a day before Middle-Class Melodies. Vivy Kathiresan serves as the director of the film. It has been backed by none other than Krishna Chaitanya who is known for his previous films like 6-5=2, Karvva, and Dia. So far three Kannada films – French Biryani, Law, and Bheemsena Nalamaharaja released directly online but failed to impress the audience. All eyes are on Manne Number 13 now.
