On the occasion of his wife Shabana Bajpayee’s birthday today, Manoj Bajpayee announced his latest project, a courtroom drama helmed by Apoorva Singh Karki (‘Aspirants’, ‘Flames’, ‘Saas, Bahu, Achaar’, ‘Aam Aadmi Family’).
Touted to be a riveting soon to be titled courtroom drama, the film will be produced by Shabana Bajpayee, Manoj Bajpayee and Vikram Khakhar under their home banner Aurega Studios.
This film marks Manoj Bajpayee and Apoorva Singh Karki’s third collaboration together after ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’ and ‘Bhaiyaaji’ which is former’s 100th film and has premiered on Zee5 today after its theatrical run.
‘Bandaa’ had a direct to digital premiere on Zee5 but its success was such that it was later released in theatres. Also, the film recently reached the milestone of 1 billion watch minuntes on Zee5.
Although ‘Bhaiyaaji’ did not enjoy the same results and received an underwhelming response. Now that the duo is returning to courtroom drama, it will be interesting to see if they can recreate the ‘Bandaa’ magic once again.
