Marakkuma Nenjam, a Tamil romantic comedy with Yogandran Raako at its directorial mantle, has sparked quite a decent buzz in the Tamil film industry. Showcasing a dynamic cast starring VJ Rakshan, Malina, Arun Kurian and such, the movie which had its theatrical debut on February 2nd, 2024 gives viewers a heartfelt time with its masterful blend of humour, love and trips down memory lanes.
The plot surrounds a young man Karthik, played by Rakshan who is eagerly anticipating a timely reunion with his high school crush, Priyadarshini (Malina), for whom he has searched high and low after his school days, on social media and such, but to no avail. Themes of youthful exuberance, romance, comedy all ring through the movie loudly and proudly. The cast puts on a convincing performance and viewers are able to relate to them in a lot of capacities.
There is exciting news on the OTT front, with Amazon PrimeVideo having secured rights to this film. It is set to feature on the said platform on March 19th, 2024 tentatively.
