Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo, who reinvented his acting career by playing the role of Bruce Banner aka Hulk in Marvel’s Avengers film series, has now been cast in a super interesting HBO project. The gifted actor has been roped in to play the lead role in a yet-untitled HBO crime drama limited series by Brad Ingelsby, the creator of the globally acclaimed HBO crime drama series ‘Mare of Easttown’ starring Kate Winslet.
Besides, Brad Ingelsby has also lent his writing skills for Liam Neeson and Ed Harris starrer action flick ‘Run All Night’, crime drama movie ‘Out of the Furnace’ starring Christian Bale, and the sports film ‘The Way Back’ featuring Ben Affleck.
The new HBO series by Brad Ingelsby will ostensibly revolve around a law enforcement task force and the criminals they try to apprehend. The show will be directed by Jeremiah Zagar, the man who had previously directed Netflix’s critically admired sports drama ‘Hustle’ starring Adam Sandler.
Like Brad Ingelsby, this is not the first time Mark Ruffalo will be collaborating with HBO. Previously, the 55-year-old actor has showcased his acting chops in the HBO limited series titled ‘I Know This Much Is True’ and the HBO movie ‘The Normal Heart’. Both of these HBO titles eventually bagged the prestigious Emmy awards.
Mark Ruffalo, who is known for his brilliant performances in films like ‘Foxcatcher’ (highly recommended) and ‘Spotlight’, will next be seen in the sci-fi romantic comedy movie ‘Poor Things’, Bong Joon-ho’s science fiction flick ‘Mickey 17’, and the Netflix drama series ‘All the Light We Cannot See’. Stay tuned to Binged for Brad Ingelsby’s new task force-based HBO series starring Mark Ruffalo.
