For all MCU fans who are patiently waiting for Moon Knight Season 2, a grain of salt is recommended. It seems like Marvel Studios is not planning to work on the sophomore entry of the Oscar Isaac starrer.
Moon Knight helmer, Mohamed Diab, recently had a chat with the Arabic Marvel team in which he explained Marvel Studios’ creative process, and his intentions of continuing the series.
However, Moon Knight Season 2 won’t happen.
This is what Diab said in this interview:
“Marvel had determined it from the first day. Marvel’s series projects are all six episodes except for some special projects like WandaVision. The usual format is six episodes. Loki is the only series they said will be in two parts from the first day. Marvel’s way is not the usual way where if the project succeeds, I say let’s renew it for a second season. It’s their plan, successful or not, they have a plan.”
The popularity of Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight and May Calamawy’s Scarlet Scarab peaked during the series run. Fans may see these amazing characters appearing in future MCU projects, especially the ones giving high priority to street-level storylines. We could witness Moon Knight getting introduced to The Avengers in Phase Six before their large-scale multiversal battle with Kang the Conqueror.
