In a delightful treat for Marvel fans in India, Marvel Studios‘ new superhero flick, ‘Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings’ has announced its release date in India. Gear up to head back to the cinemas as Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is all set to have a day and date theatrical release in India on 3rd September, 2021 in 4 languages – English, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada!
The movie arrives in Indian theatres on the same date as it premieres in overseas markets across the world. The news is especially significant in light of the fact that Marvel’s last film, ‘Black Widow’ failed to release in theatres in India owing to Covid-19 restrictions in place in Indian states. Black Widow, which stars Scarlett Johansson in the titular role, has still not released in the country, neither in theatres, nor on Disney Plus Hotstar.
Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings is the first Marvel film to feature a superhero of Asian origin. The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and produced by Kevin Feige and Jonathan Schwartz. It stars Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Meng’er Zhang, Fala Chen, Florian Munteanu, Benedict Wong, Yuen Wah, Ronny Chieng, Zach Cherry, Dallas Liu, with Michelle Yeoh, and Tony Leung in pivotal roles.
