Marvel is totally on a roll right now. Earlier Marvel used to release one or two movies in a year and would sometimes have 10-15 projects lined up for an entire Phase. But, now? Now if someone asks how Marvel’s Phase 4 is going right now, one will have to find a strong word to describe that at the moment. Marvel currently is flying and it shows with all the contents that are planned for release and are releasing.
That being said, a strong buzz has come around that Marvel besides all the series and movies planned, which is somewhere around 23 projects, is planning for even more. Yes, you heard us, Marvel secretly has been working on 9 more projects at the moment for Disney+, apart from the ones that are already in production and the ones that are released. This takes Marvel’s Phase 4 content count to somewhere upwards of 32.
Now, that is some heavy amount of content under planning. As for what are the ones that are being planned no one has any idea, but Marvel fans are no less. Rumors are there that MCU might be working on the Ghost Rider series, a series on Nova, and a series on Secret Warriors. Now, these are just rumors and nothing as of yet has been confirmed. But as for expectations, easter eggs, and hints from Marvel go, there are many more that fans are highly talking about.
A spinoff series of WandaVision, a prequel of Antman and the Wasp, Young Avengers, Thunderbolt, Agents of Atlas, The Illuminati, Namor, Black Knight, America Chavez, a probable series on Daisy Johnson aka Quake, and many others besides these. A series is already confirmed, which is based on Echo and that will be considered as a spinoff of Hawkeye. Fans have been waiting desperately for something on Young Avengers because viewers have seen quite a bit of stars that are capable of becoming a part of Young Avengers.
Writer and editor of WandaVision, Peter Cameron is already working on two of such secret projects under Marvel at the moment. Peter Cameron was part of the team that worked on the episodes that included appearances of Billy and Tommy, Wanda’s sons, and in interviews has particularly mentioned how much he loved that storyline. Given that, expectations are high that either Young Avengers might be at work or a WandaVision spinoff.
Not only these, since Marvel has acquired the rights of the Marvel TV series that aired on Netflix, fans are also expecting that maybe there might be some sort of resurrection of these characters. This has become even stronger since both Daredevil and Kingpin are now being rumored to make appearances in Spiderman: No Way Home and Hawkeye respectively.
It will be interesting to see what these new projects are but looks like fans will have to wait for quite some time to get a glimpse of these. It is expected that whatever announcements will be made, will be made during the September 2022 annual Expo, at the earliest. Other than that, there isn’t any probable occasion where the next slate might be revealed.
Also, till September, next year a lot more series and movies will be released, which will help Marvel to pick up the stories from there. For more updates on Marvel, their series, and theatrical series, keep an eye out for Binged.com.
