Marvel is growing immensely day by day, with each passing episode in each passing series. Marvel successfully started Phase 4 with their hit series “WandaVision” and their strikes for hits kept going on. With subsequent releases, Marvel is getting stronger and the series are getting bigger. Till now, Marvel in Phase 4 has released 3 series and one movie and is now all set to release their 4th series with Marvel’s “What If…?”. Apart from all this, they also have another series lined up for release, this year which is “Hawkeye” and there seems to be interesting progress in the series.
As the fans are witnessing, Marvel with each series is introducing newer characters into the MCU. These characters earlier saw fame only through the comic book releases. Same way, Hawkeye would be interesting as some exciting characters, like Kate Bishop, Echo and it is being rumored that Kingpin, too might make an entry in the series. Well, to be honest Kingpin earlier has already been introduced but not directly into MCU, as Netflix had earlier released series like “Daredevil” in collaboration with Marvel TV which wasn’t much connected to MCU.
Kingpin appeared in the Netflix series “Daredevil”, where he played the ultimate nemesis to Matt Murdock. Now, it is being reported that Vincent D’Onofrio might now return as Kingpin. It was already reported that Daredevil would make his entry into MCU with “Hawkeye”, but the shooting schedule clashes with Spiderman: No Way Home, making it impossible for Charlie Cox to make his entry in Hawkeye.
Kingpin’s entry in “Hawkeye” in a way makes sense. Kingpin in the comics is the adoptive father of Echo, aka Maya Lopez. Maya Lopez’s “Echo” is already getting a series of her own in Disney+, so introducing the mob boss “Kingpin” definitely makes sense at the moment. Also, that being said, Hawkeye is releasing in the later part of November and its ending episodes are supposedly going to align with Spiderman: No Way Home and Marvel officials are saying how the series and movies connections will be strong.
So, if one takes that notion then there are chances that Kingpin and Daredevil might come across each other. Even if there are a bunch of entries going at the moment in MCU, we aren’t complaining, because this is what is making MCU super interesting at this point. Also, along with all these characters, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova aka Black Widow 2.0 will also be seen in “Hawkeye”.
Even though the release at the moment is far away, fans aren’t able to keep their calm because with each passing there is something new and exciting going on in the MCU.
As for the release, Marvel will supposedly release “Hawkeye” by the year-end, basically, November ends or December beginning. For further updates on MCU and “Hawkeye”, keep an eye out for Binged.com.
