Imagine the Asgardian army taking on the masters of Kung-Fu at Ta-Lo. Who will win this epic battle? We may find out in one of the episodes from Marvel’s What If…? Season 2.
One of the episodes from the second season will feature Hela. Prominent X scooper, CanWeGetSomeToast, has shared some intriguing plot details about that particular episode.
In the episode “What If… Hela found the Ten Rings”, viewers may see the first child of Odin getting “kicked out” of Asgard by her own father. But instead of landing on Hel, she arrives on Ta-Lo. What’s more surprising about this scenario is that Hela gets accepted by the region’s residents. Soon, she starts learning their martial arts techniques and tricks. Odin fills with anger after finding out about Hela’s stay at Ta-Lo, forcing himself to invade his daughter’s new home and commence a large-scale war with the people of Ta-Lo. Hela will represent Ta-Lo in this war. She will also be seen donning white armour instead of her traditional black and green armour.
#WhatIf… Hela found the Ten Rings will feature Hela being kicked out of Asgard like in Thor: Ragnarok. But instead of being imprisoned in Hel, she finds herself accepted by Ta-Lo and their inhabitants, learning their martial arts.

Thor and Loki did not know anything about Hela’s existence in Thor: Ragnarok (2017). The God of Thunder is nearly 1,500 years old in the MCU. It means Hela was banished from Asgard before his birth. So, if you are thinking about watching Shang-Chi in that episode, then we must advise you to hold your thinking horses. Shang-Chi is quite young in the MCU. His addition in Hela’s episode in What If…? Season 2 does not make any sense. However, his father, Wenwu, may appear in that episode. We do not know his exact age, but Shang-Chi revealed that his father was over a thousand years old in The Legend of the Ten Rings (2021). So, seeing Wenwu in that episode should not be surprising at all.
The forthcoming season will also introduce a new Native American superhero, Kahhori, into the world of the MCU. Her episode will explore what would happen if Tesseract landed on Earth in the sovereign Haudenosaunee Confederacy before America’s colonisation.
