By Binged Bureau - Jan 28, 2021 @ 07:01 pm
Master OTT Premiere: All Your Questions, Answered!

Master is easily the most awaited film to arrive on a streaming platform after last year’s Soorarai Pottru. The excitement for the movie can be seen all over the internet. Master is the first Indian movie simultaneously streaming on three different OTT platforms – Amazon Prime Video, Tentkotta and Simply South. It is a first for the OTT industry that a film as big as Master has been sold simultaneously to three OTT platforms.

However, there is a lot of confusion regarding the OTT release of Master. Fans want to know what languages Master will release in, what is the runtime, which OTT platform will release Master in which area of the world, and so on.

We at Binged have created a comprehensive checklist of answers for all your questions. Read on to find out everything you need to know about Master’s OTT release!

Where is Master streaming?
Master will stream on Amazon Prime Video, Tentkotta and Simply South

What date will Master stream from?
Master will stream on Amazon Prime Video from 29th January, at 12 mid-night.

It will stream on Tentkotta and Simply South App from 29th January, most likely from 12 midnight

Will Master be available to stream all over the world?

Amazon Prime Video has promised to stream Master all over the world – namely in 240 countries and territories across the world, including USA, Canada, GB and UK, Australia, Middle East, Far East, etc. Japan and Germany are the only two places where Amazon Prime Video has said Master will not stream on its platform.

Tentkotta is available in most countries of the world, and Master will stream in all those countries on Tentkotta. Master will however not stream on Tentkotta in India

Simply South App is available in 35+ countries of the world, including Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai, Sri Lanka, US, and Canada. Master will stream in all those countries where Simply South App is available. Simply South App is however not available in India.

What resolution will Master stream in?

All three platforms have promised to stream Master in 4K HD Resolution, with Dolby Atmos. Amazon Prime Video and Simply South have native 4K however, while Tentkotta has upscaled 4K.

What languages will Master stream in?

Master will stream in the original Tamil Audio version. It will also stream in the dubbed Telugu and Malayalam versions. Master will also stream along with English subtitles for the benefit of all other language speakers.

Why isn’t Master available in Hindi and Kannada dubbed versions even though these dubbed versions released in theatres?

The rights of Master Hindi-dubbed version and Kannada-dubbed version haven’t been sold to Amazon Prime Video, Tentkotta or Simply South App. They’ve been sold to other parties. Hence, Master will not stream in Hindi or Kannada tonight or tomorrow.

What is the runtime of Master? Will the uncensored version stream on OTT?

No, Master will stream on OTT in the same version as it released in the theatres – that is the censored version. Only, expletives etc will not be muted out on OTT.

The run time for Master on all three platforms is given as 2 hrs 58 minutes, that is 178 minutes.

How much Prime paid for Master early Premiere?

We hope this is helpful for all fans of Master, and of Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi and Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Happy Master-watching tonight!!
