A new Malayalam web series has been announced by Disney+Hotstar and it will be the platform’s second Malayalam series. The show has been titled ‘Master Peace’.
The recently released ‘Kerala Crime Files‘ was the platform’s first venture into the Malayalam industry. It was a police thriller and quite appreciated by audiences. ‘Master Peace’, however, will be an out and out comedy series.
The show is directed by Shreejith N and produced by Mathew George. The show will be available to watch in 7 Indian languages. The languages are Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Bengali, Kannada and Marathi. Nithya Menon will be there in the lead role in the show. Apart from her, there will be other actors like Sharafuddin, Ashokan, Shanti Krishna, Ranji Panicker, Mala Parvathy and many others. Most probably Nithya Menon is the only actress in the list who has previously done a web series before.
Shreejith N is knowm for his directorial ‘Oru Thekkan Thallu Case‘ and and writing other movies too. The platform’s newfound focus on the Malayalam content industry serves right for the pan-Indian audiences who want to explore Malayalam titles. Dubbing them in multiple languages is a good thing too.
The release dates of the show will be revealed soon enough. As for now, all we know is that ‘Master Peace’ will be a family drama. A web series that you can watch with your whole family is something we all badly want.
