MasterChef Australia fans woke up this morning to the sad news that Jock Zonfrillo, chef and popular judge on the show, has passed away at the age of 46. The news became public this morning, though Jock Zonfrillo died Sunday evening, which was yesterday. There’s no cause of death revealed as yet.
Endemol Shine Australia, the producers of MasterChef Australia, and telecaster Network 10, have postponed the premiere of the show due to Jock Zonfrillo’s tragic and sudden death. MasterChef Australia Season 15 was to premiere tonight on Australian TV, and tomorrow in India, on Disney Plus Hotstar.
The new season of MasterChef Australia is titled ‘MasterChef Australia: Secrets And Surprises’, with Jock Zonfrillo returning as judge on the show for the fourth year running. The accomplished chef first became MasterChef Australia judge in 2019.
