Diehard OTT enthusiasts might already be aware of the upcoming Apple TV+ comedy series called ‘High Desert’ featuring Academy Award-winning actress Patricia Arquette in the lead role. And now, the series had added six cast members including Oscar nominee Matt Dillon and British actor Rupert Friend. The other four actors onboard the Apple TV+ series are Weruche Opia, Brad Garrett, Bernadette Peters, and Christine Taylor.
Matt Dillon is a proficient performer who has previously been a part of some fine films such as ‘There’s Something About Mary’ co-starring Cameron Diaz and Ben Stiller, crime thriller ‘Wild Things’, riveting political drama ‘Nothing but the Truth’, and the critically acclaimed star-studded drama ‘Crash’. While Rupert Friend is well known for his role in the gripping espionage thriller series ‘Homeland’.
The Apple TV+ series ‘High Desert’ follows a former addict Peggy (played by Patricia Arquette) who makes an important decision of becoming a private investigator after her mother’s death with whom she resided in the small desert town of Yucca Valley, California. Matt Dillon will essay the role of Peggy’s former love interest, who is a charming parolee and Rupert Friend will play a former anchor-man in the series.
Apple TV+ series ‘High Desert’ will ostensibly comprise eight episodes with a runtime of 30 minutes each. ‘Meet the Parents’ actor Ben Stiller will serve as one of the executive producers for the series. And all eight episodes of the series will be directed by Primetime Emmy award winner Jay Roach, who had previously helmed films like ‘Trumbo’, ‘Meet the Parents’, ‘Meet the Fockers’, and ‘Austin Powers’ films.
