Popular rapper and singer, Megan Thee Stallion, is in talks to join Benny and Josh Safdie’s upcoming Netflix project. The brotherly duo of directors will reteam with Adam Sandler in this one after Uncut Gems (2019). Deadline first broke this news.
Netflix is yet to comment on this scenario. The streaming giant is tight-lipped about the upcoming Safdie Brothers’ project. It is unclear what role Stallion will be playing in the film.
In 2021, Stallion signed an exclusive first-look deal with Netflix. This allowed her to create and executively produce new projects for the streaming service. Plus, she will make her feature debut with A24’s upcoming project, F*cking Identical Twins. She had a cameo in Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney At Law.
Stallion has received several accolades in her career, including three Grammys, a Billboard Women in Music Award, two MTV Video Music Awards, four American Music Awards, and many more.
Good Time (2017) served as The Safdie Brothers’ breakout project, starring Robert Pattinson. Then, the brothers collaborated with Adam Sandler in Uncut Gems (2019). More details will surface soon about their forthcoming Netflix project. Stay tuned for more updates.
