The new set of posters introduce the main trio in their respective looks for the film with a caption ‘ IT WAS SUPPOSED TO A SIMPLE HEIST ‘. You can see Jake Gyllenhaal in a rugged look sporting a beard, Yahya in a cap and Eiza in a simple off-white tee. All the three characters are looking side-ways as well.
The plot revolves around two adoptive siblings turned bank robbers stealing an ambulance with a paramedic and a police officer who is in a critical condition. Jake Gyllenhaal plays Danny Sharp, a criminal who leads his adoptive brother William Sharp played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who needs $231,000 for his wife’s surgery into a bank heist . Eiza González plays the paramedic who the duo holds hostage along with the dying police officer.
Ambulance is the American remake of the 2005 Danish film of the same name. Dylan O’Brien was attached to star in the film for a short while before he quit the film owing to scheduling conflicts. Later Yahya Abdul-Mateen II took up on the role. Lorn Balfe who previously collaborated with Bay on 6 Underground will also compose the score of the film.
