Netflix has ordered a new comedy series titled ‘Beef’ Lee Sung Jin (‘Dave’, ‘Tuca & Bertie’) and A24. The ten part series will star Academy Award nominee Steven Yeun and Ali Wong in the lead.
Each episode of ‘Beef’ on Netflix will be of 30 minutes duration and will follow two people who let a road rage incident burrow into their minds and slowly consume their every thought and action.
Lee Sung Jin will serve as the show’s creator and showrunner and will also executive produce it along with the lead stars Steven Yeun (‘Minari’), who will do it via his company Universal Remote and Ali Wong (‘Always Be My Maybe’, ‘Baby Cobra’, ‘Hard Knock Wife’, ‘Tuca & Bertie’; Author of the New York Times bestseller ‘Dear Girls’).
Talking about the collaboration with Netflix, studio A24 and the lead pair, creator Lee Sung Jin said, “Ali Wong, Steven Yeun, A24 and Netflix. It’s a dream team, and I’m honored to be collaborating with them. I’m also grateful to the guy who yelled at me in traffic three years ago. I did not let it go, and now we have a show.”
