ZEE5 has just announced the commencement of its new Telugu series ‘Mission Tashaffi’. The series is a spy thriller, the first ever spy series on OTT in the Telugu language. The series has just gone on floors, and should premiere on ZEE5 in early 2024. Mission Tashaffi was part of the massive Telugu slate announced by ZEE5 last year.
Mission Tashaffi is directed by Praveen Sattaru, critically acclaimed director of films such as Chandamama Kathalu, Guntur Talkies, The Ghost and PSV Garudavega. The series is produced by Pranathi Reddy, under the production banner of Film Republic. Mission Tashaffi stars Simran Choudhary, Srikanth Iyengar, Anish Kuruvilla, Chatrapathi Sekhar, Bhushan Kalyan, among others, in pivotal roles.
The story of Mission Tashaffi centres on an Indian Intelligence agent who’s tasked with the dangerous mission of nabbing a ruthless terrorist. The series is set in the backdrop of Afghanistan, though shoot will take place in suitable regions within the country itself.
