Mithun Chakroborty is having a terrific run in the Bengali film industry now. He is coming back with movie after movie and fans are excited beyond measure. After the roaring success of ‘Shashtri’, he came with the legal drama ‘Shontaan’ with popular filmmaker Raj Chakroborty. The movie is about to release on the 20th of December and it already is a hyped title. Now, the actor announces one more movie with an award winning director.
Mithun Chakroborty will next be seen as the lead in filmmaker Manasmukul Pal’s upcoming drama. Manasmukul Pal had shot to fame with his child drama ‘Sohoj Pather Goppo’ in 2016. The movie went on to win multiple National Awards and gain recognition for a very different kind of storytelling. What Manasmukul Pal is going to do this time is not known. He is a childhood fan of the actor and will give proper tribute to his legacy, but Mithun is now not accustomed to the arthouse-inclined movies that Manasmukul makes.
The project has not been given a name yet. Apart from Mithun, the movie will also feature Bangladeshi actress Afsana Mimi and it will probably be a joint production between the two Bengals. Before this, Mithun’s ‘Anyay Abichar’ directed by Shakti Samanta was a joint production between India and Bangladesh.
