Yesterday a political drama film called The Kashmir Files was announced. After the announcement, we were sure about Anupam Kher being in the film. The short teaser released with it gives some hints about his character.
Anupam, unlike most Bollywood actors, is extremely vocal against the tragedy that devastated the Kashmiri Pandits and Kashmir as a whole. Looks like he finally got the chance to give a stronger voice to his feelings towards Kashmir.
Today in another official announcement yet again with a teaser, we are certain that another dynamic actor from the 80s has joined the cast of the film.
Mithun Chakraborty has officially joined the cast of this upcoming drama.
Apart from them, Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi and Chinmay Mandlekar are also playing important roles in the film.
Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is also very famous for his political opinions on Twitter. He directed the 2019 release The Tashkent Files which was also a political drama.
It revolves around the life of a journalist who investigates the mysterious death of Lal Bahadur Shastri in the then USSR.
The Kashmir Files may be a step ahead of The Tashkent Files and may expose us even more unknown and disturbing facts.
Making films on politics is not a very popular choice in India due to obvious reasons. This film will be released on the occasion of republic day next year. Let’s see what it brings to us.
