Paramount+ has decided to renew the hit British crime drama series MobLand for Season 2. The show stars plenty of A-list actors and actresses, such as Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, Paddy Considine, and more.
Created by Roman Bennett, the project is co-executive produced by Guy Ritchie (Netflix’s The Gentlemen) and written by Jez Butterworth (Ford v Ferrari).
MobLand, which debuted in March, attracted more than 26 million viewers worldwide, but it didn’t quite reach the numbers of the streaming service’s other 2025 success, Landman, featuring Billy Bob Thornton. Still, it was a big success, especially in India.
The show revolves around the Harrigans, a London crime family, and their dedicated fixer, Harry Da Souza (Tom Hardy), as they fight to retain their power against both the law and rival criminals.
We can also expect the return of talents like Joanne Froggatt, Anson Boon, Lara Pulver, Mandeep Dhillon, Daniel Betts, Geoff Bell, Jasmine Jobson, Emily Barber, and Lisa Dwan.
Initially conceived in February 2024 as a British spin-off of Ray Donovan, MobLand instead became its own standalone series during development, shedding any ties to the original concept.
Critical and audience reception both turned out to be highly positive for MobLand Season 1, with special praise aimed at Tom Hardy’s rough-and-tough persona as the fixer, Harry Da Souza. Indian viewers can watch Season 1 on JioHotstar. Stay tuned for more updates.
