Amazon Prime Video has dropped the trailer for its upcoming new anthology series ‘Modern Love Chennai’, third instalment of Indian adaptation of the widely loved eponymous US original anthology series. This latest chapter creative produced by Thiagarajan Kumararaja comes after the Mumbai and Hyderabad chapters.
‘Modern Love Chennai’ trailer takes the viewers along the eclectic bouquet of love stories that are funny, quirky, deep and puzzling. The song that plays throughout the trailer in the background feels fresh, soothing and gives those happy love vibes.
While the stories converse with the viewer’s heart, they also get a glimpse into the soul of Chennai, it’s unique terrains and the diverse inhabitants.
Inspired by the articles published in the New York Times, ‘Modern Love Chennai’ has stories adapted according to the Tamil landscape. On board as directors for ‘Modern Love Chennai’ are Bharathi Raja, ‘Kaadhal’ fame Balaji Sakthivel, Raju Murugan (‘Gypsy’, ‘Joker’), Krishnakumar Ramakumar and Akshay Sundher.
Written by Balaji Tharaneetharan, Rajumurugan, Reshma Ghatala, Pratheep Kumar and Thiagarajan Kumararaja ‘Modern Love Chennai’ stars Kishore, Ramya Nambeesan, Ashok Selvan, Ritu Varma, Vijayalakshmi, TJ Banu, Gouri Reddy, Samyuktha Vishwanathan, Vasudevan Murali, Chu Khoy Sheng and Sanjula S among others.
With production companies like Tyler Durden and Kino Fist backing the anthology series, ‘Modern Love Chennai’ will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on 18th May, 2023.
