Last month (in March 2021), Malayalam Megastar Mohanlal, unveiled the first look poster for Tovino Thomas’ upcoming Superhero action flick, ‘Minnal Murali’. A couple of days ago, the ‘Drishyam’ actor unveiled another first look poster for yet another Tovino Thomas film – this one titled ‘Varavu’. He unveiled both posters on his official Instagram page. ‘Varavu’ marks the directorial debut of screenwriter Rakesh Mantodi, who is known for his brilliant scripts from the films ‘Thira’ and ‘Godha’. The first time director also has experience working with film lead, Tovino Thomas, from the aforementioned movie ‘Godha’. Rakesh will also be the one to pen the script and has also managed to rope in the lyricist Manu Manjith, Saresh Manju Manjith and music composer Guna Balasubramanian to work with him to create music for the film. More details on this movie will be released as other pre-production factors get figured out, including the release date for the film.
‘Minnal Murali’ on the other hand, has a release date and it is expected to release in theatres during Onam. The movie will be the first Superhero feature made on the Malayalam Film Industry and the concept from the film teaser has created a lot of buzz among the Malayalam film-lovers. The first look poster is a motion poster, featuring Tovino in his “Supersuit” outfit.
Tovino Thomas‘ ‘Minnal Murali’ will release in theatres during Onam, on August 19th 2021.
His next feature, ‘Varavu’ is expected to have a release date soon.
