He also mentioned this movie features time travel which makes “Mahaveeryar” first Mollywood movie with time travel in the plot. It is sure This movie can inspire other filmmakers to come up with novel ideas.
The teaser for “Mahaveeryar” movie was dropped on the Internet yesterday. It promises a never seen experience in Malayalam film industry blending many genres together. Time travel, period drama, fantasy elements that teaser made glimpses to all these genres making this movie intriguing as possible. The movie is written and directed by Abrid Shine and also features a stellar cast with Nivin Pauly in the lead and Asif Ali, Lal, Shanvi Srivastava and Siddique in other major roles.
Nivin Pauly’s character as a saint in the movie is a totally a different role for him. And the look of other stars like Asif Ali, Lal and Siddique tells that this movie is set in the medieval period and at the end of the teaser we can hear an announcement of a court procedure which is similar to present time. This anachronism hints at possible time travel in the movie.
