‘Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life’ lived up to its hype, stunning the box office with a staggering worldwide opening day collection of approximately Rs 16.7 crore. Lead actor Prithviraj Sukumaran shared the global earnings via social media, revealing the movie’s remarkable performance. Screening on 1724 screens worldwide, it marked one of Prithviraj’s highest-grossing single-day collections.
The survival thriller made a significant impact in India, grossing Rs 7.60 crore on its opening day and surpassing the Rs 6.50 crore mark by March 29, accumulating a total of Rs 14.10 crore across all languages. The Malayalam version particularly stood out, earning Rs 11.82 crore, with notable contributions from other languages as well.
Furthermore, Disney+Hotstar secured the digital streaming rights for ‘Aadujeevitham,’ adding another dimension to its success. While the release date for digital streaming remains undisclosed, the movie is expected to be available online 45 days after its theatrical release, adhering to regulations. Directed by Blessy and starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Amala Paul, the film adapts the novel’s narrative, following Najeeb’s journey in Saudi Arabia, accompanied by his pregnant wife Sainu (Amala Paul). With AR Rahman as the music director and Resul Pookutty handling sound score design, the film’s multilingual release expands its reach beyond Malayalam, encompassing Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi audiences.
