Money Heist has to be one of the most successful Spanish shows on Netflix today without doubt. The crime thriller, which has 4 seasons at the moment, is all geared up for its 5th and final season. Fans have been waiting for the next season for quite some time now and each passing day, people are getting impatient. The last season has been delayed for a very long time now and the situations around the world are the reason behind its delay.
Now slowly when everything started coming back to normal for their country, the shoots started in full swing. Fans were expecting an early 2021 release, but that didn’t happen. Rumours were around that the show would start streaming from the summer, most preferably May 2021. But now, it has been announced that the series will be releasing coming out later in the year along with various other shows.
As that is decided, the schedules for the actors are starting to come to an end. Few weeks ago, a post by Pedro Alonso came up where he bid adieu to the sets of Money Heist. He played the character of Berlin, who dies in the 2nd Season, but he is very much present in the flashbacks of all the other seasons.
Now, the next star to say goodbye is the tech geek of the Money Heist team, Rio. Miguel Herran who plays the onscreen character shared a short but emotional post on his social media and we can already see ourselves tearing up. He captioned it in Spanish, which is translated into- “Rio… It’s been an amazing journey with you… Today we close a stage together.. And I can only tell you two things.. THANK YOU AND I LOVE YOU!
He thanks his fans and the viewers and we can see how attached he was with the character Rio. Whatever went down in the series in the seasons 3 and 4, Rio played one of the most important roles in taking the story forward. Also, not to mention how the death of one of the most important characters of the series, in Season 4 can bring forward the story of Season 5.
With the two characters wrapping up their stories, we can only imagine the end for the stories of other characters are also near and we all will be seeing a lot of goodbyes pretty soon.
