The Wedding Guest began trending on Netflix India when Monkey Man hit theatres in the US. In fact, from even before that, when its trailer generated a frenzy amongst Dev Patel’s fans. The Wedding Guest has been trending on Netflix India Top 10 since three weeks now. It was even at Number One for some time, beating even Fighter to the top spot.

The Wedding Guest is a thriller film, set in Pakistan and India. Dev Patel is joined by Radhika Apte and Jim Sarbh as leads in the English-language film. Dev Patel plays Jay, a strange young man, who travels across Pakistan and India to kidnap Samira, the bride-to-be, from a wedding that has been arranged by her family.
The movie is directed by Michael Winterbottom. Though the film is rated only 45% on Rotten Tomatoes, believe us when we tell you that it’s a movie worth watching, especially for Dev Patel fans, and for fans of suspense thrillers.
