As “Godzilla X Kong” is practically synonymous with success right now, it would be foolish to think that the MonsterVerse will slow down. However, fans are definitely curious about the future path of the MonsterVerse, which is more relevant than ever.
Though some fans would appreciate changes and new elements injected into the franchise, the chances of this happening are almost zero.
Godzilla and Kong’s team-up is becoming more common, and the MonsterVerse isn’t really interested in building new Titans. So, what will their next plan be?
In their arsenal of already established characters, Mothra does have potential. There have been solo films on Mothra, and Mothra even previously defeated Godzilla. So, the MonsterVerse might explore this, but recent updates suggest they are focused on a new project.
While engaging with fans, Grant Sputore hinted at the new project. Previously, it was announced that Sputore would direct the next MonsterVerse film.
Talking about the films, Sputore mentioned that the world is yet to see his “favorite” Godzilla film. This was a massive hint that we might see a Godzilla film next.
Some might say that there is too much Godzilla, but that has never been the complaint. One thing the MonsterVerse might fix is to stop making Godzilla a hero and let it go nuts, similar to “Godzilla Minus One.” But we will have to wait for the next film to see any changes.
