Globally renowned movies database entertainment portal IMDb houses a list/widget of the most anticipated films and shows on a real-time basis. And that includes the top ten list of Indian titles as well.
The widget compiles the list of the most anticipated theatrical and OTT films and shows based on the real-time popularity of these titles, which is ascertained by the number of pageviews these titles are generating on IMDb. Each film and show is then ranked by IMDb in accordance with the aggregate number of pageviews.
As far as today’s Indian films and shows are concerned, the most anticipated title is the Shahid Kapoor starrer cricket-based drama ‘Jersey’. The film is an underdog story that revolves around a retired cricketer who makes it his mission, despite his wife’s resistance and against all odds, to revive his sports career for his son and to prove his detractors wrong.
While the second buzziest title is the upcoming Punjabi language rom-com ‘Saunkan Saunkne’ starring Ammy Virk, Sargun Mehta, and Nimrat Khaira n the lead roles.
Moreover, the third spot on the list is held by the Ranveer Singh starrer social comedy film ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’. The premise revolves around a shy man who gathers the courage to challenge society’s patriarchal elements in his hometown. The movie also features Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Deeksha Joshi in important roles.
