The series is inspired by the 2005 movie of the same name which featured Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. The duo essayed the roles of two assassins, who are married to each other. The story becomes more interesting when they are hired to kill each other.
The 2005 film ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ which was helmed by Doug Liman of ‘Edge of Tomorrow’ fame. It was undoubtedly an entertaining movie, but is the series a better watch than the film as per critics? Let’s find out.
As per reviews aggregation portal Rotten Tomatoes, ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ movie holds a critics’ score of 60%. On the other hand, Prime Video’s ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ series has received a critics’ score of 89% on the same website. So, it’s clear that the series is a better rated one than the 2005 movie.
‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ series features Donald Glover and Maya Erskine in the roles of two spies, who must assume new identities as a married couple. But the story takes an interesting turn when they begin to develop feelings for each other while executing daredevil missions. We recommend you watch the series on Amazon Prime Video in case you still haven’t.
