Ms Marvel Delivers A Flashy But Restrained Finale On Disney+

Ms Marvel Delivers A Flashy But Restrained Finale On Disney+

The much-anticipated finale of Ms Marvel is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. It featured plenty of action-packed and heartwarming moments. Also, your jaw may drop on the floor after watching the post-credits scene. We advise you to not read this article further if you have not watched the finale yet.

Kamala Khan did “embiggen” her powers in the final episode of the series. It is a popular word used by our protagonist numerous times in the comics. Yes, there is a big difference between her comic and MCU powers. The latter appeared like a fusion of cosmic energy and her trademark elasticity. But Bisha K. Ali and the rest of her team have done a pretty good job with the superhero character.

Okay, let’s shift our attention to Ms Marvel‘s finale. The makers wonderfully utilised all the important characters in the final episode. We cannot ignore the cast’s outstanding chemistry with one another. It gets a goose-bumping start only to get lost in its own ‘marvellousness’.

SPOILER WARNING!

Kamala gets her own Ms Marvel costume from her mother. Then, she tries to help Kamran to escape from the Damage Control guys with the help of Bruno, Nakia, Zoe, and Aamir. The gang uses various tactics to stall those guys from getting their hands on Kamran. Not sure if firing softballs at a team of Damage Control squad team was intelligent or stupid. But it was fun to watch it.

Amidst the chaos, Kamran learns about his mother’s death. Eventually, he starts wreaking havoc as he starts believing that he is different and people will not accept him. But like any other good-hearted superhero, Kamala Khan reveals that his mother sacrificed her life to save him. Upon learning the truth, he escapes through a hole created by Kamala in the middle of the road.

In the final moments, Kamran reaches Pakistan and meets Kareem from the Red Dagger community. On the other hand, Bruno informs Kamala that she possesses a mutant gene. However, she has an Inhuman gene in the comics. So, we are not sure how will MCU treat Ms Marvel in future projects. We can hope for the best.

It has become like a tradition for all MCU Disney+ shows to take off smoothly but end up delivering rushed and flawed final episodes. Yes, they were satisfying. But all of them suffered from the same problem: their rushed pace. Also, their restrained nature has frustrated a lot of fans. Prepare yourself to expect the same from Ms Marvel’s finale as well. The makers could have done so much here.

Now, fans will witness Ms Marvel again in The Marvels movie alongside Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Samuel L. Jackson.

Ms Marvel is available on Disney+ Hotstar. It stars Iman Vellani, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, and many more. Stay tuned for more updates.
