Mumbai Diaries 26/11 On Amazon: A Gripping Tale Of Courage & Fear

By Binged Bureau - Aug 25, 2021 @ 10:08 pm

Amazon Prime Video has dropped the trailer of its much awaited upcoming series ‘Mumbai Diaries 26/11’ and this will surely keep you on the edge of your seats. Coming from the makers of ‘D-Day’ and ‘Batla House’, ‘Mumbai Diaries 26/11’ will premiere on Amazon Prime Video in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on 9th September, 2021.

The trailer begins with Dr. Oberoi (Mohit Raina) giving a brief of the Mumbai General Hospital where hundreds of cases come in daily ranging from high fever to gunshots. And therefore the hospital’s work ethic is to talk less and work more.

Dr. Oberoi is a straight to work man and doesn’t involve himself in any sort of small talk as evident when he talks to a new group of residents – Dr. Mirza (Satyajeet Dubey), Dr. Sujata Ajawale (Mrunmayee Deshpande) and Dr. Parekh (Natasha Bharadwaj), are waiting for him. The very same night Mumbai becomes witness to a terrorist attack, forcing these new doctors to face what they weren’t prepared for.

What follows is a high voltage chase between police and the terrorists who have taken civilians as hostages, including Dr. Parekh’s mother and Dr. Oberoi’s wife. With victims coming in constantly and in huge numbers the hospital staff starts to panic while handling the situation with limited stocks.

It’s Dr. Oberoi and Chitra Das (Konkana Sen Sharma) who motivate the new medical staff and guide them through the intense and fearful situation surrounding them. On the other hand the police is fighting with the dreaded terrorists with reporters covering the events live.

There even comes a point of ethical dilemma when few of the terrorists are brought in for treatment but for Dr. Oberoi a patient is a patient and his character doesn’t matter to him. The real fear strikes when the hospital itself comes under attack and the people who were saving other’s lives are under the fear of losing their own.

‘Mumbai Diaries 26/11’ is a story of those with an indomitable spirit and great courage and the trailer gives the glimpse of just that. The video keeps one hooked throughout with its high level of intensity, thrill, emotions, drama and much more.

Nikhil Advani (‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, ‘Batla House’) has created and co-directed ‘Mumbai Diaries 26/11’ with Nikhil Gonsalves (‘Hasmukh’). An Emmay Entertainment Production, the series stars Konkana Sen Sharma, Mohit Raina, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Satyajeet Dubey, Natasha Bharadwaj, Tina Desai, Mrunmayee Deshpande and Prakash Belwadi among others. Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani have produced the Amazon original series.

Mumbai Diaries 26/11 will premiere only on Amazon Prime Video on 9th September, 2021 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
