Miami Vice, 2006
Based on the 1980s TV series and helmed by Michael Mann, the movie features Colin Farrell and Jamie Fox as two detectives who go undercover in a drug trafficking ring after the gruesome murders of two federal agents. The film initially got unfavorable reviews from critics but eventually gained a cult following of sorts.
Directed by Ridley Scott, the underrated spy actioner follows an idealistic CIA agent (Leonardo Di Caprio), who hatches a complex plan to catch an elusive terrorist in the Middle East region. But the situation soon spirals out of control. The film also features Russel Crowe, Mark Strong, and Oscar Isaac in important roles.
Green Zone, 2010
Directed by Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Ultimatum, Captain Phillips), the movie follows an honest US Army Chief Warrant Officer (played by Matt Damon), who tries to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq in 2003. But what he finds instead is a high-profile conspiracy and he investigates further.
The Accountant, 2016
The action-thriller movie revolves around an autistic but brilliant accountant (played by Ben Affleck) who is also highly trained in martial arts. He deploys his unique set of skills to uncook the books of dangerous organizations. The movie also features Anna Kendrick, Jon Bernthal, and J.K. Simmons in important roles.
